. OPC Unified Architecture Part 6: Mappings. Release 1.05.00. 2021-10-12. , OPC Foundation, 2017.

This document constitutes Part 6 of the OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA) standard and defines the technological specifications that enable applications to communicate over physical network protocols. The specification primarily covers three areas: data encoding formats (UA Binary, UA XML, UA JSON), security protocols (UA Secure Conversation, certificate management), and transport protocols (UACP/TCP, HTTPS, WebSockets). It provides developers with the technical mechanisms, schemes, and rules necessary to implement seamless and secure data exchange between systems from different vendors.
